History
Tracing its roots back to 1982, DiMS! organizing print evolved from the broad technological background of founders, Gerard and Tonnie Marneth. Both schooled in technical engineering, the brothers began to leverage their knowledge by developing a range of measure and control engineering instruments for laboratories and other organizations.
The instruments they developed were often so unique and ingenious ─ one of their research projects was even financially supported by the foundation of technical science ─ that they would later serve as the fundamental focus of the company. Based on the principle that generating data causes the need to collect and organize it, the two set on a course to develop databases and the accompanying software to manage them.
With their interest peaked and their expertise developing, they resolved to focus solely on the printing and packaging industry. Today that decision, already more than two decades ago, was how DiMS! organizing print was launched.
Always staying true to their unique and succesful views, the Marneth brothers fashioned DiMS! into a comprehensive, yet extremely flexible Management Information Solution that addressed the specific needs and challenges of the printing industry. To this day, the DiMS! solution is still evolving and developing to fit the ever-changing business needs of the present and the future. True to the company's mission ─ to enable customers to take full advantage of today's information technology to optimize their printing business to world-class performance ─ experts worldwide constantly strive to ensure that the DiMS! solution fits the needs of current and future customers.
